Digital Asset Academy: An Introduction to Decentralized Finance (DEFI) and Tokenization Program Preview
Coming later this month will be the release of our second program! Here’s some early details on what the program will be covering.
Program Overview
Section 1: Introduction to Decentralized Finance (DeFi) Consensus
Discover the world of decentralized finance (DeFi) and its impact on traditional
financial systems. This section covers the basics of DeFi, including an overview of
DeFi applications, lending and borrowing protocols, and staking. This covers the
process of mining and understanding the differences between proof-of-work (PoW)
and proof-of-stake (PoS) protocols. Also analyzing the difference between
centralized and decentralized exchanges.
Section 2: DeFi Applications Utilities: Staking, Lending, Liquidity Pools
Here we explore decentralized and centralized exchanges, a deep dive into lending &
liquidity pools, staking, flash loans, and yield farming. In this section, we’ll evaluate
how these components work together to create a decentralized financial ecosystem.
Also giving a basic understanding of the risks associated with all of these protocols.
Reviewing multiple applications and how they are advancing decentralized finance.
Section 3: Introduction to DAOs, Non-Fungible Tokens & Tokenization
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and tokenization represent the next frontier in digital
assets. This section introduces you to the world of NFTs, explaining what they are,
how they work, and how they translate to real world applications. You’ll learn about
NFT creation (minting), buying and selling of NFTs, and about the marketplaces
where transactions occur. We will also review the role of decentralized autonomous
organizations (DAOs) for real world applications like corporate management. Then
we will explore the potential of tokenization and how it can be applied to various
asset classes.
This program will help prepare students who enroll in the academy for the upcoming topics that will be heavily focused over the next couple years within the traditional finance industry, fintech and technology integrations.
